Level 1 Health and Safety Training for Construction

The CSCS Red cards are a temporary cards that are issued whilst you are awaiting an NVQ qualification. Red cards are obtained by completing a CSCS touchscreen test. Red cards do not prove that you have any health and safety training other than the 45 minute test. Due to this, some sites may not approve of a red card. These cards only last 12 months and cannot be renewed.
The Green card covers most skill types in construction. The card is obtained by completing both a touchscreen test and the one day health and safety course that we provide. The card lasts for 5 years and is accepted on all construction sites and shows a basic level of health and safety training has been achieved. Both exams need to be passed to achieve this card.
The blue skill card is suited to the construction staff who progress in their career and require a blue card to highlight their skill set. These cards last 5 years and are awarded on completion of a touchscreen test and an NVQ assessment. For more information on NVQ’s please visit our NVQ page here
